Royksopp op The Sixtyone? Not!
De song die hier voor beluistering werd aangeboden is niet meer beschikbaar. De artiest account waar de song van afkomstig was is permanent geblokkeerd door de T61 sitebeheerders.
Wie hoog inzet kan flink verliezen. Vooral aan reputatie. Het ene moment meld je trots dat een geweldige band je favoriete muzikale multiplayer online game heeft gevonden en dat jij ze als eerste wist te tikken, het andere moment wordt je geconfronteerd met het risico dat een willekeurig persoon een song upload van een geweldige band, die niet de zijne is. Als zo’n brutale vorm van illegaal kopiëren wordt ontdekt, wordt de dader in de ban gedaan en raak jij - hoe tegoeden trouw je ook bent - de winst kwijt die je met die song gemaakt hebt.
Daar kan je boos om zijn en/of teleurgesteld, maar je kan beter onderkennen dat dit deel van het spel is. Niet zozeer de fraude, maar wel het risico dat trolls zich met het spel gaan bemoeien, of dat artiesten zich bedenken over hun deelname en zich er weer helemaal uit terugtrekken, met medeneming van jouw winst. De enorme hoeveelheid goede, nieuwe muziek van een groot aantal betrouwbare artiesten maakt dat risico absoluut aanvaardbaar.
